Brief 1: Creating an Alphabet using Illustration

For our first brief we had to create an alphabet using our favourite film, or franchise as a reference, i chose the Avengers. While i could of made this easy for myself by just using the logos of all the superheros and using them to create an alphabet, i wanted to create my own alphabet for most of the letter, using more abstract concepts to create a more unique alphabet. This became a challenge and in the end i had to compromise and use some symbols and others that i invented. i am still pleased with the outcome of the brief!

ILTN1100 lesson 1 (30/09/2016)

Introduction to the module, met classmates and lecturer. We began to learn about the origins of 'illustration' and how these people created the work without any of the technology we have in the modern era, in a response we created 'caveman art' by drawing picture of animals from nothing but our memories. I was suprised as to how well the drawings came out, as i thought i would forget more and the proportions would be more out of sync.
